Two airstrikes hit the capital of Ethiopia’s Tigray region, Mekele

According to local health workers the death toll could climb as more patients were reaching the hospital.On Tuesday morning, a drone strike hit a university campus in Mekele, causing an unknown number of injuries.Tigray rebels have accused the government of carrying out fresh drone attacks in the regional capital, Mekelle, two days after they said they were ready for an immediate ceasefire. It’s close to three weeks since violence flared up again after a five-month truce. A senior Tigrayan official, Getachew Reda, tweeted on Tuesday that the target of the drone strikes was a university campus. There is no independent confirmation of the claim due to an ongoing communications blackout. Getachew, along with a senior general, Tsadkan Gebretensay, has been appointed by the Tigrayan forces for negotiations with the government. Drones hit Mekelle TPLF Millitary Targets  Ato Getachew Reda wrote on his Twitter page that Abiy Ahmed's drones hit Mekele University's Adi Haqi campus.   Reliable sources have confirmed that action was taken against the TPLF radio station in Mekele and at five different locations.   There is no proof that the campus itself was hit by the TPLF with heavy weapons or by government drone strikes.   Summarizing today's lightning strike:  Several airstrikes have been carried out against the tplf which have been successful and hit their targets. Accordingly:  1. At the studio and broadcasting station of Dmtse TPWane located in Mekele city,  2. Stupid on a T-52 tank,  3. A large number of armed men gathered at the top of Warke.  4. TPLF announced a separate ceasefire. The Government of Tigray Region Stance on a Peaceful Resolution of the Current Conflict\ Behind the TPLF ceasefire, The TPLF leaders jailed in Addis Ababa will be released Negotiations underway b/n Ethiopian fed govt and TPLF representatives in Djibouti seems to have bore fruits. Tigray leaders agreed to a "credible AU-led peace process." Fed repeatedly said ready to negotiate without preconditions, to which TPLF has finally seemed to agree. Ethiopia needs peace and nothing else could be a better new year gift!  It has been stated that negotiators from the federal government and TPLF have entered Djibouti to resolve the conflict in northern Ethiopia.
