Ethiopia : A baby with 2 heads was born
• "This is the first time that such an incident has happened in the hospital" - Dr. Tsegaye Mideksa A baby with 2 heads was born at the Teaching Hospital of the Institute of Health Sciences of Dembi Dolo University Dr. Tsagaye Mideksa, Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist of the University Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, said that the baby was born with two heads. Dr. Tsagaye explained that this is the first time such an incident has happened at the hospital and the baby was born through a successful operation. Dr. Tsagaye elucidate as such events occur rarely in some pregnant women and depend on the number of eggs accommodated in the mother's uterus. Dr. Nagasa Tolasa, a pediatric specialist at the institute, clarify the incident is categorized as twins and the probability of occurrence is very low. Currently both the mother and the baby are in a good condition.
