 Deeply concerning incident at Africa's largest airline — Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 #ET343 was still at cruising altitude of 37,000ft by the time it reached destination Addis Ababa. Passengers on a flight to Ethiopia had a lucky escape when the plane landed safely despite two pilots falling asleep ahead of the descent, say reports. Flight ET343 was en route from Khartoum in Sudan to Addis Ababa at 37,000 feet when the shocking incident occurred on August 15. The pilots reportedly fell asleep before they were supposed to make their descent to Addis Ababa Bole Airport and were only awoke when the autopilot disconnected and sounded an alarm after air traffic control had been unsuccessful in attempts to contact the cockpit. The flight then landed safely, despite having overflown the runway and having to make another approach. In Addis Ababa and other cities, the foreigners who commit the most crimes are those who entered illegally, according to the Ethiopian Refugees and Returnees Service. General Director of Migration and Refugee Returnees Service, Ato Tesfahun Gobazai; He stated that if the issue of foreigners living in exile is not managed carefully, it is opening the door for criminal activities.   It is known that there are foreigners who have been recognized as refugees in Ethiopia, who have entered illegally and who entered legally and whose residence visas have been revoked. He pointed out that some of these refugees are involved in terrorism, illegal money laundering, human trafficking and other criminal activities.  Ato Tesfahun also pointed out that because refugees live in Ethiopia especially in coastal areas, there may be illegal activities related to the current situation in neighboring countries and lax border controls. To prevent this, the service is working with regional and federal secu
