Atrocities happening in Shashemene! State Terrorism
We've previously reported that the Oromia police opened fire on innocent worshipers who were guarding their church after a group of illegals were said to be coming to West Arsi Diocese on Saturday 4th February and caused serious injuries.
According to the information gathered today, T.M.C. understood that the number of martyrs who were killed has reached 42 today. Among the martyrs, we find Kesis Haregeweyne, who led the divine Liturgy at Shashemene St. Michael Church that day and has died as a Martyr today.
Eyewitnesses stated that the bodies of martyrs who died in an attack by the government security forces in Shashemene city were taken out of Debre Sebhat St. Michael's Church in a car at 10:30pm last night. Also added that, the group of illegals taking pictures to satisfy their thirst for power before the bodies of martyrs were taken out from the church illustrates their extreme cruelty.
What's worse is that the faithfuls admitted to the Shashemene Melka Oda general Hospital with serious injuries were prevented from receiving proper treatment and those who've been sent for referral has been restricted from going to other hospital.
In addition to that, the families were prevented from entering the hospital, they're burning their information and the condition of the casualties are unknown. It has been stated that the bodies of the deceased were not allowed to be given to their families. The hospital is surrounded by Oromia special forces.
Even though there has been works going on to hide information, our sources have indicated that the death toll has reached more than 37.
According to the information we obtained from the staff working at the hospital, an Orthodox youth named Yerga is in a very critical condition and is not allowed to go out despite being referred. Moreover, the Orthodox medical professionals in the hospital are being pressured not to write referrals for patients and not to give them special treatment to save their lives.
Furthermore, we understood that, they are going door to door threatening and assaulting the people of Shashemene to prevent them from participating in the worldwide peaceful protest led by the Holy Synod on 12th February .
